Details examination pattern for the posts of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) to be conducted by Telangana State Public Service Commission. Structure & scheme of TSPSC TGT Preliminary Test and Main Examination.

Preliminary (Screening Test)

This will be a Written test (Objective Type in nature). Preliminary test will have total of 150 Questions and 150 Marks. Duration of the test will be 150 minutes. Question paper will have three sections i.e. (i) General Studies, (ii) General Abilities and (iii) Basic Proficiency in English. The indicative syllabus of each section is available below.
Section-I: General Studies
A. Current Affairs – Topics of Regional, National & International importance.
B. Indian Constitution; Indian Political System; Governance and Public Policy.
C. Social Exclusion; Rights issues such as Gender, Caste, Tribe, Disability etc.and inclusive policies.
D. Society Culture, Civilization Heritage, Arts and Literature of India and the state of Telangana.
E. General Science – Topics of India’s Achievements in Science and Technology.
F. Environmental Issues & Disaster Management – Topics based on Prevention and Mitigation Strategies and Sustainable Development.
G. Economic and Social Development of India and Telangana state.
H. Socio-economic, Political and Cultural History of Telangana state with special emphasis on Telangana Statehood Movement and formation of Telangana.

Section-II: General Abilities
A. Analytical Abilities – Questions based on Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation.
B. Moral Values and Professional Ethics in Education.
C. Questions based on to asses the Teaching Aptitude of candidate

Section–III: Basic Proficiency in English Language
A. School Level English Grammar – Articles; Tense; Noun & Pronouns; Adjectives; Adverbs; Verbs; Modals; Subject-Verb Agreement; Non-Finites; reported speech; Degrees of Comparison; Active and Passive Voice; Prepositions; Conjunctions; Conditionals.
B. Vocabulary – Synonyms and Antonyms; Phrasal Verbs; Related Pair of Words; Idioms and Phrases; Proverbs.
C. Words and Sentences – Use of Words ; Choosing Appropriate words and Words often Confused; Sentence Arrangement, Completion, Fillers and Improvement; Transformation of Sentences; Comprehension; Punctuation; Spelling Test; Spotting of Errors.

Main Examination

This will be a Written test based on Computer module or OMR. This test will also be Objective type in nature having multiple choice of answers. Mains Exam will have total of 150 Questions and 150 Marks. Duration of the Mains will be 150 minutes. This test will have two Question papers i.e. (i) Pedagogy of concerned subject, (ii) Subject Discipline Knowledge/Concerned Subject. The indicative syllabus of each section is available below.
