Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
Preliminary examination will consist of Objective type questions only. Preliminary test will be conducted for 100 marks. Mode of the test will be online. Candidates have to qualify in each test. Candidates approximately 20 times the numbers of vacancies (subject to availability) will be shortlisted to appear in the Main Examination. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 sections as follows:-
A. English language: 30 Marks
B. Reasoning Ability: 35 Marks
C. Quantitative Aptitude: 35 Marks
Phase-II: Main Examination
Main Examination will consist of Objective type questions for 200 marks and Descriptive questions for 30 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be conducted online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer.
(i) Objective Test: This will of 2 hours duration consists of 4 sections (Generalists) and 5 sections (Specialists) for total 200 marks.

Test of English Language: 50 Marks
Test of General Awareness: 50 Marks
Test of Quantitative Aptitude: 50 Marks
» For Specialists
Test of Reasoning Ability: 40 Marks
Test of English Language: 40 Marks
Test of General Awareness: 40 Marks
Test of Professional Knowledge: 40 Marks
(ii) Descriptive Test: Descriptive test shall be conducted for 30 marks. This will of 30 minutes in duration. This will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing-10marks & Essay-20 marks). This will be conducted through on-line mode.
Note: There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests. Each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
Phase – III: Interview
Candidates who have been shortlisted at the end of Phase-II i.e. Main Examination will subsequently be called for Interview. Candidates will be called to appear in interview up to three times the number of vacancies of respective stream/category. The weightage (ratio) of online Examination and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.
Final Selection: Final selection would be based on consolidated marks of main examination (objective test) & Interview. Final merit list shall be prepared in descending order of the consolidated marks. Candidates secured their names in the merit list shall be considered for appointment.
