SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Bachelor Degree in any subject. CA / CMA / Company Secretary / M.Com / MBA Finance is desirable qualification for the posts of Asst Audit Officer and Asst Accounts Officer. Candidate should have Graduate degree in any discipline for the posts of Superintendent, Asst Section Officer, Inspector in Central Excise, Preventive Officer, Examiner, Income Tax Inspector, Asst Enforcement Officer, Sub Inspector CBI, Divisional Accountant, Inspector in Central Bureau of Narcotics, Sub Inspector NIA , Auditor, Accountant, Secretariat Assistant, UDC, Tax Assistant etc. For the post of Junior Statistical Officer, qualification is Graduate degree in any course with 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level (or) Graduation with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

Age Limit: Age limit for general candidates is min 18 whereas max 30 years. However, relaxation in upper age is admissible up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

SSC CGL Recruitment 2024 Selection Procedure

SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam is consists of following successive stages. Candidates have to qualify all these steps one-by-one.

1. Tier-1 Exam: Computer based objective test (CBT)

SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2024

SSC CGL Tier-I Exam Pattern: Duration of test is 60 minutes. There is negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in this exam. Following table shows the complete details of SSC CGL Tier-I Exam.

SSC CGL Tier-II Exam Pattern: There are four papers in this exam. Duration of each paper is 2 hours. Paper-I and Paper-II are compulsory for all the posts. Paper-III is only for Junior Statistical Officer. Paper-IV is only for posts of Asst Audit Officer and Asst Accounts Officer. There is negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer in Paper-II and of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I, Paper-III and Paper-IV. CGL Tier-III Exam Pattern: This exam is descriptive type through Pen and Paper mode. Candidates have to answer descriptive questions in English or Hindi language.
